An author’s reading followed by an interactive educational activity is a wonderful way to share Wings in the Wind with children in classrooms and libraries. Julia Walsh is an author and educator. The book has been piloted in private schools, libraries and nature centers. Children have responded to both the inspiring story and the accompanying educational salt marsh activity with intellectual curiosity , joy and creativity.
After a reading of the book, the author leads an educational activity introducing creatures that live in the salt marsh and how these plants and animals thrive in the tides of the wet lands.
